Ficus Altissima 5"

$80.00

Also known as the Council Tree or Lofty Fig, this plant graces indoor spaces with its glossy, variegated leaves, adding a touch of elegance and tropical charm. Find care instructions below:

Light: Performs best in bright, indirect light.

Water: Allow the top 2-3" of soil to dry before watering thoroughly. The Ficus altissima prefers soil that is moist, but not soggy. Do not allow the soil to sit in standing water.

Repot: Plan on repotting your Ficus altissima every year so it doesn’t get root-bound.  To do this, tip the plant on its side and gently run a trowel or knife around the inside of the pot to dislodge the soil from the edge of the pot if necessary. Then gently coax the plant out, but don’t yank it. Remove as much of the old soil as possible. Then add a few inches of soil to the bottom of a new, clean pot and place your plant upright in the new pot and fill in the sides with fresh soil. Water thoroughly and add a little soil to the top as needed to compensate for settling.
