Bird of Paradise

from $100.00

The Bird of Paradise is a stunning tropical plant, renowned for its large, banana-like leaves and vibrant, bird-like flowers, adding a bold and exotic flair to any indoor or outdoor setting. Find care instructions below:

Light: The Bird of Paradise can handle direct and bright indirect light. However, it will flourish most in a sunny spot in direct sun. If you don't think you have a spot with enough light, try using a grow light. Water your Bird of Paradise when the soil volume is 50% dry.

Water: Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light. Pro tip: Birds of Paradise can benefit from filtered water or water left out overnight before using.

Repot: For larger floor plants, we suggest repotting every 18-24 months — although the Bird of Paradise prefers to be slightly pot bound, so you can hold off on repotting for 28 months if the plant is in healthy condition. Typically you want to choose a potting vessel 2”- 4” larger in diameter to allow for growth.
